The Frenzy is the result of a custom design-build effort by renowned manufacturer Maverick Sportfishing Yachts of Costa Rica.
The 43-foot Frenzy is powered by twin Caterpillar C-9 diesel engines. She cruises at 28 knots, with a maximum speed of 32 knots. The angling platform features a Release Marine fighting chair, Rupp outriggers, and next-generation Furuno electronics. The benefit of having such an investment in new electronics is the ability of our captain to find the fish much more quickly than ever before.
For example, the 72 mile radar allows Capt. Jose to find birds working bait. Find the birds and you’ll find the fish, whether it be billfish or monster sized yellowfin tuna!. GPS, Fish finder and Electric fishing reels for dredges, are a great new addition for our anglers.
Down below in the cabin is a huge array of tackle drawers and an enclosed head with shower. There are two bunks. The air conditioning is like “angels breath” on hot afternoons. The vessel is also exceptionally spacious and can accommodate up to eight adults comfortably. We’ve already experienced having three anglers hook simultaneously, on 100 pound sailfish. All anglers enjoyed plenty of space to work their separate catches. All three were landed and released. That’s a true testament to the fishability of any boat. We’re always excited to experience double-headers (two billfish hooked simultaneously). The Frenzy 43 has already allowed us to compound the thrills for a triple-header. It’s all part of the experience we can only best describe as “the Frenzy”.
Ice box and refrigeration space on the Frenzy 43 is ample. You’ll never want for a cold beverage aboard this boat — or fresh food.
